Correspondence from the board

Dear Owners,

The Board of San Matera the Gardens would like to thank you for your patience and understanding and to provide you with continued information on the most recent developments within our community.

♦ Additional Bids for Work: Over the last weeks we have met with 6 construction companies who are interested in completing the construction project as well as addressing the interior issues reported to Management. We are working as quickly as possible to secure the necessary bids, so we may review and decide on the best option to move forward.

♦ Counsel at Next BOD Meeting: We have confirmed that new construction counsel, Sachs Sax Caplan PL, will be present at the next BOD meeting scheduled for May 21, 2019 to bring the members up to date on all matters related to the construction project and the recent developments with Florida Structural Group (FSG). There will also be a Q&A session for the members to discuss with counsel regarding these matters. If you can attend the next BOD meeting, your presence would be greatly appreciated; we feel our community will benefit from the discussion and your feedback.

♦ Security/Entry Gates: This project is moving forward as discussed at the last BOD meeting. We have submitted additional permits as required by the City of Palm Beach Gardens and will provide updates once they become available including an updated timeline for the installation. The BOD anticipates having a representative from the gate vendor present during the board meeting to address the process of installation and any questions.

♦ Pool Heater: As required by the City of Palm Beach Gardens a containment wall must be built to enclose the pool heater for which bids were acquired from various vendors. The BOD has made a decision on the vendor best suited to complete this project and are awaiting permit approval from the City. Once permits are secured, the work will commence shortly thereafter.

As stated in our last communication to the members/owners on 04/26/2019; your BOD and Management team have been working diligently to find a resolution to the situation which was presented to us with the abrupt stoppage of work by Florida Structural Group (FSG). We are confident that the associations’ counsel will be able to answer most, if not all, of your questions and concerns regarding this matter at the next scheduled BOD meeting.
