New Property Manager

Our new Property Manager, John Fernandez. His first day at CPST was November 30th.

What made you move from the Miami area to West Palm Beach?
I’m originally from Chicago. I lived in Miami and have worked with First Service for over 10 years. Then this outstanding opportunity came up and it was perfect timing for my family to make the move.

How do you like the West Palm Beach area?
I am getting to know my way around. I have friends and know other professionals who live in the Palm Beach area and they are showing me around and giving me advice and suggestions on where to go and things to do. The downtown area of West Palm Beach is not as hectic as downtown Miami. I like it here, less traffic, clean. It’s a very nice environment.

What are you most looking forward to as you start working at CPST?
I am looking forward to getting to know the residents. With over 20 years in the property management business, I know that every building has its own culture and I am really looking forward to discovering and understanding the unique community culture here at CPST. I also want to make adjustments to improve the quality of life here, to pay attention to detail, and keep up the aesthetics of the building.

What do you see as your biggest challenge?
One of the biggest challenges right now is being available for residents. I would like to be able to meet and interact with everyone, but at this time Coronavirus interferes with that. I’m looking forward to interacting with all the residents as we move forward. We need to get back to a sense of community, and I want to create a synergy that embraces everyone who lives and works here.

How about the staff?
I’m excited to be working with all the people here. I want to focus on cooperation between management and staff. We all work together toward the same goals and we all have the same responsibility to the community. I would like to create an employee of the month program to recognize their efforts. These people are our frontline workers who come to work every day to take care of the community here, even during a pandemic. We are all in this together.

Any words you want to share with the residents?
“I want to thank the board and community for embracing me and giving me the opportunity to join the CPST family. I’m ready to go, and will hit the ground running. Thank you for the opportunity and Happy Holidays to all.”
